Signs, horns, loud audio alerts every 10 seconds: "keep back!", flares, ticket anyone who gets too close etc.

transition to slow flight and fly low enough to nudge him with your wingtip.

Of topic I guess, but, sometimes I forget that the planes constantly flying over my house could have people taking pics below. Hmm....maybe I should "cover up" a bit when I am outside sunbathing... blushing

Not so much careless as mindless... but I know I split hairs. It's easy to not care about certain dangers, we all have or do engage in risky behaviour. But to not even mind that there might be dangers to care about when raising kids is more pathological.

Please stop the weird Big Brother-esque aerial voyeurism/policing. It's nosy, invasive, and irritating. Sorry, had to speak up! Nice shots though, just could do without the nanny work.

Natural selection only works on heritable traits; most specific human behavior, such as this, is not.

On closer inspection it is not evident that there is a child involved, but I am only playing with a jpeg off the web at screen res. Try colour correcting the original file and examine it more closely, John. The guy is far enough away from the edge to be considered "safe" and the highlight in front of him is pretty boxy and with none of the definition that distinguishes the main figure.... it could be a dog, a bag or just a reflection of the sun off the ground. Sorry, but I have to agree with 3408 on this one.... this conjecturing on scant evidence is becoming invasive voyeurism. We do love conjecture here and peeking over the neighbour's fence to find things to be outraged about is a going sport. But I'd rather you didn't point your camera at my back yard..... thank you very much.

It's a public park, not a private backyard. If you don't ever want anyone seeing you, don't go out. Sheesh.

If someone does not realize that cliffs can be dangerous, signage will not do much. I don't mind John's plane flying around, in fact I think it would be a hoot to in the plane, but I do mind a nanny state, where the government thinks it needs to protect me from myself in every situation.
