Zoos are a great learning tool. They teach children that it is okay to incarcerate animals and keep these poor hapless creatures on display. I hate zoos.

Zoos are a great learning tool. They teach children wonder and diversity and responsibility. Their world expands. I love zoos.

Ditto that, Mtndriver. The gorilla does look sad.

Wonder what the gorilla was thinking as he (?) looked at the girl? She's about as big as one of his arms!

he actually looks very intelligent and interested in Fiona. They have been friends for over a year now. The first time he saw he he looked like he wanted to play with her soooo bad, it was all over his face. Not sad, but you could make anything sad if you try I guess.

@ 293254P

What is the gorilla learning? An I think children can learn those things without incarcerating guiltless animals for life.

It's funny that we name animals Fiona or Scott and the SBers name their kids Cash or Maverick or spell them stupidly like Kelsea or name them proposterious names like Sommerday. Weird SB. The kid names around here sound like pet names and don't seem very dignified when they will, hopefully, one day become adults and have stupid immature names.
