The shimano shoes are cycling shoes for clipping into pedals...guess they do look pretty weird if you've never seen them before :)

I am one of the blue "toes" photos with purple sandals. Just got the blue done on my pedicure and love it. It's the cool summer color!

The bird is a Western Scrub Jay. If a Blue Jay showed up in Santa Barbara, it would cause quite a stir amongst the local birders!
