I drove by...mountainside of the 101 between Patterson and Fairview right behind the gas station. Looks like a grass fire off the shoulder towards the property lines of the adjacent business. Pretty much mopped up!

I rode my bike to the area of the Holiday Inn on Calle Real about 3:30, where fire crews were hosing down the roof tiles of the portico. Tall palms were coated with a white sudsy-looking protectant, and that was being removed also. Then I looked across Calle Real to the Valero gas station, and more fire crews were hosing down some charred trees between the station and the freeway. No clue as to how it started. No visible damage to structures visible from my vantage point.
