Mid twenties woman, two children aged about 2 & 6. The woman and children are living with her parents in the upstairs apartment. The woman had a fight with her parents. She banished a gun. Police were called. Currently, police are working to safely end the stand off.

Here’s a synopsis of the situation: The initial call of a woman with two small children brandishing a gun in their apartment came in about 3:00 pm. The SWAT team responded and tried to make contact with the woman. Shortly after 6:30 pm there was smoke emanating from the apartment and the Fire Dept. was called. The young woman, a 25 year old, texted to say she was not at the residence and nor were her children. A short while later, the SWAT team gained entrance to the apartment and found food on the stove which had caught fire and was the source of the smoke. The SWAT team searched all areas of the apartment and could not locate the young woman or her children. The woman’s sister was at the scene, and talking with authorities. The local businesses in the area were shut down for several hours but are now open again. El Bajio, my personal favorite, which was just 2 doors away lost business, which is unfortunate. A person at the scene indicated that the young woman and her kids were “probably already in Mexico” by the time the event came to a conclusion. There was no confirmation that a gun was ever involved, and the young mother’s parents, who were supposedly with her when the whole ordeal started have not been located. I’m just happy no body got killed.

In response to my comment on the "Milpas Street Incident is Over," I'd like to add: My apologies. I dislike it when people post before reading every article and comment. I would delete my post if I could. Just like tv, don't read or watch if you don't want to. I still wonder how everyone involved managed to disappear.

There were about 8 cops with guns & tasers drawn at the Taco Bell on Milpas around 5:00pm, they took a young-ish woman and a man into custody. Could this be connected?
