I cannot make it so when ever I have a beef about something I just post it here. Not that it matters anyway a very long time Santa Barbarian told me they were not going to do anything about it anyway.

Wow.... What a lightening response to an immediate problem....! IMO potable pumps should have been on site within 12 hours of the problem surfacing. Perhaps a call to La Cumbre Country Club for some assistance. They rectified the same problem ASAP without the politicos getting involved! If you want to have something nice you need to look after it. Solving this issue is part of the price you pay... Don't talk about it just do it! Didn't you listen to your mother?

Rushing in with an inappropriate solution is not smart.

The slow growth of scum, fostered in part by our local warmth and in inattentiveness of our city leaders, has finally bubbled over and created a smelly cesspool out of one of Santa Barbara's premiere attractions. Andrea Clark Bird Refuge isn't the only place this has happened. How about State Street?

541 - lol; the Bird Refuge is not on the Parks and Rex. meeting agenda so the commission will not be able to discuss it. Under NEW BUSINESS, there is: NONE. Not the fault of the commission, although one wonders why they didn't ask to have it on the agenda, but the fault of the staff that draws up the agenda.

Wake up and smell the coffee people. Don't waste time with PRC. tell the city council to enact some of the recommendations from the engineering study done a few years back. Oops not a priority and after a few months with nothing done, the smell fades into the breeze till next year. That's how you spell sustainability! Maybe we can sell it to one of the McCaws to use for a yacht berth.
