not much color down there--do they raise much flower seed in Lompoc anymore, now that they big seed companies have moved out?

SEEDLADY - Nope the good 'ol days of the flower fields in Lompoc are long gone thanks to Big E buying up most of the property on the western end of the valley and turning into ag. land.
In the 60's and 70's here in the valley when the wind settled down the whole valley would fill with the scent of flowers... sad to say, it is no more. The top picture was taken above the Central and Floridale Ave. intersection looking South.
