Take a look at your property tax bills and realize how much money you are already handing over to SB Schools. And now they want to balance their budgets with even more taxes? Just say no to their next parcel tax demands and make them work with the money they already have. It is your voice and your vote. Just say no to permanent and increasing parcel taxes while the schools let money fly out the back door and have no problems sending $100 a month to teacher union bosses, while they ask you to keep funding more and more of their school budgets.

They sure do a lot of building for a District that is always crying poor and seeking more taxes of any kind that they can get from local taxpayers including the recent "parcel tax" proposals.

Bond measures for buildings. Parcel taxes are for instructional materials and art, science, technology and other elective classes. They are funded completely separately. Money for one cannot go towards the other. The health academy provides health-care classes that focus on giving students a strong career outlook. (google it, plenty of info available).

No school board should balance their budget for essential classes on parcel taxes. Vote no. And then get a new Santa Barbara Unified School District board members. This current one is fiscally irresponsible. No surprise since the majority was put in by the teachers unions.
