A remarkable performance by two young actresses with wonderful voices. A paraphrasing of a true story in the 1930s, written with wit and unexpected, funny repartees.

This play was astounding - the first three quarters of it. Probably one of the most captivating, take your breath away performances I've every seen. The fourth quarter is as bad as the first 3 quarters are good. The woman who plays the prisoner is unbelievably great - her singing and acting was powerful and flawless.

This is the last play in this year's series, and again, the quality of the acting is superb. I've loved theater since I was young, and feel so lucky to have professional theater in our small city. The Ensemble's high-quality offerings really compliment the excellent musical concerts in our town.
