You might want to correct "principle" to "principal" in the next release, and lose some of the buzzwords.

280858P - Principle is used correctly. (My imagination is whirling at the notion that perhaps Ron Ritchart is a "principal investigator". I can only imagine what that means...) And, truthfully, I can't find any buzz words in the article. To me, it communicates that the goal of the non-profit is to educate teachers to train students to become critical thinkers who can pause, reflect, and analyze. This certainly is not the "buzz" in education these days. I wouldn't mind if it were!

280858P - Ahhh! I see now -- you are referring to the title of "Principal Investigator". I get it. I was giggling at the idea of someone who was a detective who focused solely on principals. Hehehe. I suppose there is enough scandal in education these days that perhaps that should be a niche. Mea culpa. :)

It seems like a great organization for the community. It's nice to see something positive surrounding education given all the budget cuts lately.

I wondered about that, too, and thought it was just another example of internetese, ie. sloppy English. What is a "principle investigator"? Both "principle" and "investigator" are nouns, while "principal" is an adjective and a "principal investigator" would be one who is a prime or primary investigator. (A "principle investigator" an investigator of principles?)

Have to generally agree with the sentiments. Children that are taught the same, relentless curriculum tend to get sick of it. I absolutely hated every English class from 7th grade to 12th. In college, my first English class was one of the best I'd ever taken. The professor also had a strong background in philosophy, so we were exposed to more philosophical discussions of writings rather than just shallow analyses.
