Any input from the neighborhood? I still support the helipad. Cottage dropped off fliers about this meeting ALL over the neighborhood:
There's a community meeting Tues night at the conference center at Cottage Rehabilitation Hospital. Bless Dr. Meisel, who brought this physical rehab hospital into existence. Yeah, Cottage is a monopoly; took over Rehab because Rehab could no longer exist on gov't. reimbursements. Rehab works miracles. It's a gem, a blessing that we have Rehab in our community. I don't blame Cottage. I'm glad they can keep such a useful institution alive. Yes, I *do* feel that way about the helipad too. No accounting for taste. ;-) Meeting Notice:
Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital neighbors and interested community members are invited to a neighborhood meeting for an update on helicopter landing activity and the upcoming phases of construction and demolition. The meeting will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 15 in the Meisel Conference Rooms of Cottage Rehabilitation Hospital, 2415 De la Vina St. Per the flier, RSVP is requested. 569.7383. Eh. If I make it I'll probably stand in the back.
