Stop wasting your time with us mere EdHaters and go get a job with National Geographic! You are so talented and should be getting paid the BIG BUCKS for your art. But in the mean time, thanks for sharing with us!!!

As a "weekend warrior" photographer, I am in awe, great pics. Question, did you use a polarizer?

It's hard to know which is the best one to vote for. Great photos - I agree with the above comments

Thanks for the kind words, but no, I'm just a retired person who has taught herself how to take a photo!...No, these were not shot with a polarizer, although I do have one and it works great. I've learned quite a bit over the course of the past year or so and the proof is looking back on what I've posted here on Edhat. One thing I've learned recently is how to edit the images in a program called Lightroom...you can do amazing things to ordinary looking images ;-)

In my humble opinion, not only are you on the same level as professional photographers, but you should be admired for being self taught as in...you taught your "self" how to take photos. I wish I had the talent and the eye to do what you do. The only thing people admire me for is when I speak to them I have my eyes closed (my eyes are actually blinking rapidly, but it looks like I'm being introspective and know what I am talking about). Keep your cloud photos comin' girl!!

Wonderfully crisp, deeply saturated images. Yes, I know that Lightroom can do many things but it helps considerably to start with a good raw image. As Ansel Adams said, the negative was everything--though he was an expert in manipulating prints in the darkroom. Like others, I would be curious to know what lens you used--great resolution and contrast.

The walking trip to the top of the courthouse tower is quite a feat. I did it many years ago when company was here from Palm Springs and one of them was elevator-phobic. What is it 15 floors?
