Because we are members of a community and a community that works together is a stronger, more healthy entity. If your kid is about to run into the street I could intervene or I could say, "It's your job." Which community would you rather be part of? Beside, "making the job easy" for the tax supported police saves us money that can be spent on potholes, parks or teachers.

Huh? How are the police supposed to know who this guy is just from a picture? They are asking people to look at the picture and if anyone knows him please let the police know. What's wrong with that? Are police supposed to know the face of every citizen in the city where they work? I'm sure they are doing their job by going around with his pic but that could take awhile the sooner they get him the better, before he skips town.

He looks familiar like maybe someone that lives in the neighborhood but I don't know him personally let us know when you catch him.

You could buy an HD Camera the size of a freaking matchbox these days, yet this is the image that comes from the people in control of our money?

I wish the quality of these type of photos was better. I have no problem with the police asking for help. The more efficently they do their job, the further our tax dollars go.

All these bank pictures are nearly useless. In the bank you get a grainy picture of a hat brim. Here you have a grainy picture of a gut and a chin. Don't banks have any competent IT people?

I fiddled with the image in Photoshop and made it so that the guy would be quite identifiable. I am hoping/believing that the police would be able to do the same!`

I am a professional photographer and fiddled with the image so it's a bit more recognizable. If an Edhat subscriber wants to post their email (Dave / Roger) I'll email you my edited image so that you can post it to Edhat. I'm not a subscriber and ca't upload an image or post links.

@916p - can you post your fiddled picture for all of us to see?? I agree that it's a shame they can't install better cameras. Especially, since the new cameras are cheap and the image quality is good. ................... @902 ~~~ HUH ???
