In the late 70's I remember the preppy kids calling the hippie kids yoatches (never seen it spelled though- looks pretty weird!) Haven't heard that term in 30 years!

@382 - The Urban Dictionary lists "bum, mooch, hustler" as several synonyms for 'yoach' along with some other very crude definitions.

Newish in town, ok - so a year isn't that new! (But don't you panic my SB heritage pride peeps - my grandpa, dad, aunt and uncle were all born at Cottage). Do you suppose I might be so bold as to ask what da heck a Yoach is?

This park desperately needs enforcement of the leash law. It is clearly posted yet some folks use it as their personal off-leash park. My dog (on leash) and I have been accosted numerous times running through the park by aggressive off-leash dogs.
