While the bigger problem is helping young people who lose funding not become homeless duffle bags seem a very good way to show the older teen 'someone out there cares'...similar to a parent who sends a kid off to college with supplies. The sad and scary part of this wonderful story... when someone becomes homeless it is very common to have their 'stuff' taken from them by anyone out there who wants it. I work with the homeless and my heart sinks when I see very young people out of resources and no one to turn to who get everything stolen and don't even have a blanket to stay warm at night. My message: help fund programs who help people like this organization!

The Assistance League is a wonderful organization that helps so many people in our community in so many different ways. Definitely a group worthy of any support. Shop at the thrift store, donate items for the shop, donate money directly.
