Would never stop selling alcohol, but they could heavily tax it like they do cigs, outlaw malt liquor, cheap vodka/hard liquor, and other bang for your buck alcohol products. Then do like what they do in New Zealand, do not sell in markets only liquor stores that open at 10am and close at 6pm and are closed on Sundays. May cut back on public drinking. I as well stopped drinking, and in hindsight if it wasn't so cheap and available I may not have taken it to the point I did. Just another idea.

Seriously, does anyone really think reverting to a semi prohibition situation will solve anything? Crime would escalate along with the illegal under the counter liquor business and the cops would be more overloaded than ever, leading to an open season for petty criminals. In short - chaos would reign.

How ironic that Roger suggests we close all the liquor stores and not only is there a Winehound graphic on the right hand side, but also a big banner along the top. As to the comment "let's tax it heavily", alcohol IS taxed heavily. Now, let's discuss tearing apart other people's livelihoods. Let's stop all the construction! Let's stop all the plastic merchants! Let's stop all the car dealers! Let's stop all the knife sellers! Let's stop all the sporting goods marketers, resellers, manufacturers, promoters and merchants! Let's stop all the flower growers! Let's stop the chocolate merchants! Let's stop the bailbondsmen. Let's stop the theaters! Let's stop the accountants! Stop it all! Just stop! That'll solve everything.

Yea I knew the wet alcoholics would cry...heeheehee I know it will never happen I'd bet my eye teeth alot of people would leave..Being off the Alke Hol myself and having lived here along time I know things would mellow quite a bit. I'd settle for comment @306's Idear..As far as advertising alcohol on Edhat. I'm not Ed I'm Roger.

Interesting that they're now stealing catalytic converters from Cadillacs instead of Toyotas. The Toyota converters are really easy to get at, but the Cadillacs are actually quite difficult to access. I hope this isn't a new trend, as the Cadillac's converters are quite similar to other GM products.
