Roger, I understand your comment about not going home to take care of mom. To some that might sound mean, but my brother and I were all but abandoned at a young age. He was only 8 when my mom moved on to a man and left us to fend for ourselves. And now years later, I take care of her because she has dementia and someone needs to. My brother however, doesn't really feel the connection to our mom so he stays away. He calls her now and then, but for the most part, he's "moved on". I really can't blame him. I'm glad that you feel something for your mom and that you worry about her, and I completely understand why you wouldn't want to go back now. Parent's love your children and make sure they feel safe and secure when they're little because one day, you're gonna hope they'll return the feelings!

If no one else was there I'd go home and take care of Mom my older sister has always been Moms favorite, they have always been like best fiends. I love my mother even though she dumped acouple of us for a scum bag. Some really ugly scrap happened to 3 of us Marylan was able to escape it. I love my mom no matter what I went through..
