I belong to the Westerners, J.J. and Barbara Hollister invited our group for a barbeque in the canyon before they sold it. A wonderful place, definately worth a visit. The ranch is beautiful and has a rich history.

So why is Land Trust of Santa Barbara County adamantly opposed to playing a positive role in protecting the beautiful Hot Springs Canyon? All they are willing to do is post a memorializing sign extolling the past. Do not fool yourself. Santa Barbara is loosing an important part of our history by transfer to the USFS. What mineral springs has the USFS ever done a credible job of preserving and making available to the public?
