Thank you David for the great photos and reminder of this fun event! I especially love the levitating avocado! For those who might like an alternative way to Carpinteria...we like to hop on the Amtrak for the short and inexpensive trip to the festival. The train platform is just a couple of blocks from all the fun! Wow, that's a delicious sounding & spicy guacamole recipe....4 jalapenos WITH seeds....yippee!!

Recipe looks xlnt, thanks. But one Q: How do you "season to taste" something that's already highly seasoned??? :-)

Aquaholic, the train's a great option. Not that I'm condoning it, but I have some good friends that play 'Hide n Seek' with the train conductor when coming down to Carpinteria. Hanging out in the dining car and bathroom have been known to work. Season to taste, I'm speculating, means more salt or pepper, but I could be off on that. If I get the answer from Sarah, I'll let you know. Thanks.

David, thanks for your plug of our great town but I'm sorry to say that the official name is the CALIFORNIA Avocado Festival. Still, there will be great avocados in every form and food!
