What a great article. Thanks!! I mostly avoid State Street, not liking the masses of (mostly) tourists and the tourist stores, but I'll go early some morning soon. Much of what you wrote was news to me!!!

Bravo, Garden Guy! This is truly one of the best pieces ever presented on edhat. Besides pointing out the extraordinary "nature" of our main street and enticing pairings, such as agave and licorce, building the article on the philosophy of "survivorship" is encouraging in a world that too often promotes victimhood.
