I grow this in my garden. The leaves are neat because of those enlarged stipules at the base - it makes them look like double leaves. They smell so good. Like the article says, they're great for southeast Asian cooking and infusing into beverages. I've substituted the leaves and fruit for lemon peel in making limoncello. And while the limes from this tree aren't juicy, they are great in place of Seville oranges for making good marmalade. Love the kaffir lime.

I also have a small young thai lime tree in my yard. Love the scent of these. Fresh leaves also almost always available at Indochina Market in Kmart Plaza.

Grow them in a pot. Great for flavoring rice and soups.
