It is inspiring to see how two committed people can have such a big impact in the world. This kind of direct people-to-people practical help is wonderful and well worth supporting.

The Kains are really fabulous people. My wife and I have supported the goat program in the past. How would one make a donation at this point? I don't think the article mentions how to donate and to whom... Andy G.

This is an incredible, life-saving, life-sustaining nonprofit. Unlike the larger, more well known organizations that provide livestock, Goats for Life has almost zero overhead. I do appreciate people helping others, so don't get me wrong here, but, I am very curious as to how this makes sense? If they can barely survive on the crops they grow, then how will they produce feed for livestock? Livestock require much more food and water than is necessary to keep the people alive. I'm not sure how this solves any problems - seems like it will just create more of burden. Do they also provide the feed and water with the goat?
