The plant is mine; it's an orchid of the genus Zygopetalum. It would have made a much better photo if it was blooming, but it would be cheating to send a picture of last years blooms! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zygopetalum

Had to post the shot of the official EdHat bag in front of Zee Bean aka Cloud Gate in Millennium Park in downtown Chicago this afternoon. It was 95ยบ degree with nasty humidity, but fun, especially with our EdHat bag for shopping. More pics later from the trip.

That garden belongs to my 100 year old friend who was featured last month in the SM Times on his birthday. So far I'm the lucky recipient of zucchini, tomatoes, onions, garlic and radishes. Beans and cucumbers on the way. Yum!
