I've heard it called the Queen of the Coast but never the Crown Jewel of the Coast.

Thanks for this article. It describes Rincon quite well and is good info for the uninformed. I much prefer David's surfing pics and articles over others (whom I will not mention). I would add a couple of things; the "right" side of Rincon, the upper lot area, has a shower and better bathroom facilities for the average beach-goer. It has a nice sandy beach and is great for walking.
