I believe you two will inspire a movement! The pictures are exquisite, the history relevant and interesting. Perhaps you'll find yourselves leading a tour (or several)one day. I'd sign up because I love to walk, but am not as adventurous as you both seem to be. I am impressed with all you were able to cover in one week on Oahu. Inspiring - truly! Thank you so much for sharing your adventure.

As a former planning administrator for Oahu, I must say you did a superb job on this trip. Thanks for the photos and adventures.

Very very nice.. !!! Next year, if you decide to check out Maui, I have a place that rents for about $100 a nite... May 20 - June 5 Surfside Kihei Maui www surfsideva . com The building has only 7 timeshare units and we rent ours out very cheap. Everything is new and kept updated and beautiful. Ocean side of Kihei Rd. The last place before the famous Wailea Beach

Mahalo for the quick trip to the Islands! I'm forwarding this to some friends in Denver who will make their first visit to Oahu in September. Most of these places are on the "Circle Island Tour" we will be taking them on. This will give them a nice preview. When you were out at Dillingham Field did you see any of the left over props from "Lost"? The crash scene was filmed across the road on the beach.

SBLAX - Urban Hiker here - Nope, no "Lost" props on the beach that we saw, although we didn't know it had been a location and so didn't look around. However, also went to the Turtle Bay Resort to have lunch and snorkel around a little. The lobby of the resort looked suspiciously familiar to us...as it turns out, Turtle Bay was the location for much of the filming of Forgetting Sarah Marshall. While we didn't actually see any turtles in the bay - and the resort's logo of a mama turtle and her baby is a complete fiction given that turtles lay their eggs in the sand and never again see their young - Turtle Bay was still worth a visit...the lunch was good and the resort is worth a a look around.
