You have way too much time on your hands.

This does sound a bit excessive. ;-) However, I do the same thing without keep lists. I have friends who don't like to get up early in the morning, friends who don't like to walk, friend's who only enjoy free events, etc. I keep this all in mind when deciding who to invite to join me in an adventure.

I re-read the Edda letter and realized that I missed the point. I categorize my friends by what they enjoy so that I share things that will give them pleasure. "Organized" has an approach that seems self-centered.

instead of tracking your "friends" abilities to contribute to your self serving agenda perhaps you could volunteer time and resources to making the world a better place.

Do you have a list of anal retentive friends? I suspect they would be the most compatible with you.

Perhaps this ratings system makes you highly over-rated. It would appear that you are the only one worthy of doing all of the activities and none of your friends could match you because each only holds a fraction of your value. Once one of your friends becomes labled this perception upon them makes them even more catagorized. This method sure does appear self-centered, a common personality trait of many.

Haha -- and haha that JoJoFlys reread the posting. The listing sort of makes sense: no point in inviting someone to go bicycling if they don't have a bicycle or to a free concert if they don't like music. I agree with Shorebird --- AR is definitely in but there would have to be a lot of trials to determine if your A fits their R and vice versa.

Seems like pretty common friendship patterns to me. Women are more obsessed with categorizing people of both sexes than men are--it's the matchmaker thing with us. More like a gender difference going on, with her husband's reaction. For guys, it's 'Who's most likely to have/bring the beer?'

I would rate you as one of those people who incorrectly puts an apostrophe between numbers and the letter "s". :) Actually I think you have quantified what most of us do in our head. I have some friends who don't like to read, so I do not talk to them about the newest book I have read. You do the same thing, at a higher level.
