Pool water isn't good for animals to drink regularly. Maybe he needs to purr near his own water bowl.... Don't know how you can really prevent it though!

Oh, your Mackenzie is the spitting image of our dear old Puffy, who has been gone lo these many years now. Maine coon for sure. So glad he found you!

This is the spitting image of one we had to give away 5 years ago - and who was featured on Edhat around that time. Does RescueCats do checks on their implanted IDs before they adopt them out? He's a beauty - that's for sure.

Thanks for everyone's nice comments. My son and I adopted MacKenzie where my son lives in the Los Angeles County area, so I doubt that he is a Santa Barbara native. It seems as though lots of folks have had, or knew a cat that looks like him.
