Great place, but it won't be so nice (for people, at least) if the County goes along with Erik Axelson's intended "managed retreat," of moving pipes and eliminating a number of parking spaces.

"Managed retreat" means RETREAT of the park, no matter how you entitle the County's plan, and it isn't simply "a number of parking places" but 150 of 600 parking places.

I've heard that Axelson, former South Coast County Parks chief, has been demoted; anyone know if that's so?
