Thank you! Goleta truly is charming when off the beaten paths.

I found this a most interesting and timely article--for a minute I thought someone had swiped some of my shots around the Stow House which I have been taking in preparation for a personal pictorial documentary on the Stow and La Patera Ranches. Very nice to see one's interest shared.

My dog and I love Los Carneros. It's our go-to place for a relaxing nature walk. Lots of wildlife. On windy days, the trees sing. And in July-August there are the free Music at the Ranch concerts on the lawn at Stow House. Lots to see and enjoy, with kids, dogs, or even solo.

My son and daughter-in-law were married at the Stow House. As you can imagine, it was a charming and lovely wedding.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I really love the funny little dioramas inside the old train station. I have pictures of it somewhere... this just reminded me of it.

EQUESTRIANS - Do not ride your horses out along the trails when the ground is soft from rain. Someone did this in early January and now its like walking through a mine field of 6inch deep horse holes. Not to mention how uncomfortable it is to ride bikes on some of these paths now. We all love seeing horses out there, just wait until the ground is firm.
