Yes, truly an aqua champion in the making. I suspect the canine olympics remain in the future - but with form like this it should be a certainty.

"her breed" is...? she looks rather Spaniel-like, with ears floating.

Digby is a tall Malagasy Coton de Tulear. Back in the Seventies, her great-great (and several more greats) grandfather from Madagascar was rescued by Jacques Cousteau (could that be the genesis of her aquatic talents?) when the dog crate was mistakenly off-loaded from a plane at Orly and dumped in an airport warehouse. Cousteau was checking the warehouse for his camera equipment, and heard the dog whimpering. He took "Andy" out of the cage, and flew to the States with the puppy in his lap. There was trouble arriving at NY Customs, when they couldn't find an import permit for a canine, and Andy officially entered this country as a lemur.

You can often find Digby and her almost-identical niece Maya strutting along Butterfly Beach. They both ignore the ocean, but love mingling with the big dogs.
