It's not a tourist attraction. It is a private residence. Remove the address from the article to help maintain her privacy. It is the decent thing to do.

Shame on edhat. No class and no respect. Edhat should respect the privacy of residents in SB. Touting a residents home as a tourist attraction and giving out the address is reprehensible. I vow to not subscribe to edhat and to encourage others not to donate until edhat removes the address. Discuss Oprah all you want but printing her address and calling it a tourist attraction Irresponsible and wrong. Do you think edhat will get more subscribers with less scruples? Anyone know edhats addresss? Let's publish his address and see how he likes it. I am a former edhat advertiser. Never will advertise here again. Respect privacy.

Wow, Ed this is low. Remove the address and directions. We all know where she lives but publishing the address on the Internet for every person to see is not very Santa Barbara like. SB is welcoming and low key about celebs, that's why they live to live here and give money for our local economy. I'm so shocked this hasn't been pulled down yet, If you ever want Oprah to read your site this is the LAST way to bring it to her attention.

Very surprising and disappointing to see Edhat go for readership in this way; not what I come to Edhat for. Also, what a quick way for Oprah and other celebrities to seek other places to live, and there goes the wonderful resources given to our community, not just monetary but a celebrity who enriches our world with her humanity. Who would not be proud to have someone like this as a neighbor!!
Also don't need the overhead shots laying out the grounds! Shame.

I am a paid subscriber and honestly EDHAT, this isn't what I signed up for. This article is so disappointing and NOT what I expected from this community magazine when I paid $$$. You have received MANY requested to take this down. Why haven't you done that?

139109P - that is NOT the point. The majority of the comments in this thread object to this type of content on Edhat. There is a TON of CRAP on the internet that I wouldn't want to see on Edhat. If some of that shows up on this site, I'll be certain to post my objections to that as well.
