I agree - ASAP is a great place. That's where I adopted my two "girls" 8 years ago. Even if you can't adopt, you can sponsor a kitty for one month for $30.00 (cheap!) which pays for its keep. You get a certificate with a photo of your kitty and a good-news postcard when he/she gets adopted. That's a lot of heartwarming feeling for 30 bucks.

Kudos to the volunteerism of Santa Barbara! ASAP does a fabulous job and has been around for about 20 years. ASAP volunteers make it all work seamlessly and saves the County many $$$ as cat care is provided by volunteers and not by paid County staff. Same is true for K-9 pals on the dog side, and BUNS for the rabbits. We are lucky that Santa Barbara County is incredibly supportive and its a win/win, especially for the animals.

Yes, check out ASAP (we adopted a kitty there last year) They take excellent care of the cats - ASAP is extremely clean, the staff and volunteers are friendly & knowledgeable and they have amazing cats waiting for loving homes!

And if you lose a cat ASAP is the place to contact. The only place in town that takes lost or "stray" cats. They do a great job trying to match lost cat reports with their own cats, giving advice on methods to find your cat.

I was under the impression that these two beauties had been adopted by this lovely person after the passing of their orange boy, Bear and now have a forever home. Am I wrong?

I got my two wonderful cats at ASAP 16 years ago. They make every day a joy. In return I try and sponsor cats as oven as I can. ASAP is a local treasure.
