What a beauty, you are very fortunate. Like you, I have always learned so much from my dogs, they each have a lesson to teach if you pay attention. Best wishes and hope she does well with her health problem.

Beautiful Pup! About her seizures..check her dog food online. Some commercial dog foods are causing seizures in older dogs. Her cure might be as simple as switching her food.

Gorgeous doggie! We had a doggie with epilepsy. One thing we didn't realize is that rosemary is a trigger. We had it planted all over our backyard! It's the scent, they think. Also, as you probably already know, bright or flashing lights can trigger the seizures too. I'm sure you probably know all this already, but I figured I'd mention it just in case. Good luck with her!

My daughter had a dog with epilepsy, we didn't know exactly what caused it. I was dog watching one weekend and fed him salmon and he had a seizure so we cut back on the protein and it seemed to help. He had to go on meds eventually.

Raw salmon, even slightly undercooked salmon can be fatal to dogs, having nothing to do with epilepsy. But cooked is generally fine.

We adopted a beautiful male Huskey in 1997. He was 15+ yrs old when we had to send him to doggie heaven. He was a wonderful companion, especially to my hubby. You are right, the breed is not for everyone, however, when given the right loving and training, they are amazing. Good luck with finding a cure for her.

Beautiful dog! I love and have owned huskies myself and great with people, not so great sometimes with other animals. Huge roaming range, prolly the wolf in 'em, I guess. I have a beautiful blue eyed Aussie now, he has epilepsy. I really feel for you, its awful when they seize. No idea what causes or triggers these things. We have Bleu's seizures down to a manageable 3-4 a year using a combination of phenobarbital and a drug called zonisimide. Still awful when the lil guy has seizures. Good luck with your beautiful friend!
