Hold it u can tell him turtles grow to about 5'8" , learn martial arts & fight crime. ( like Roger ) Tortoises are great long distance walker & yes everyone knows , Walker knows martial arts . Ha Ha

Tortoise is the common word in US for land turtles, and Turtle is generally used for aquatic turtles.
Down under, in Australia, the reverse is common. They are all turtles.
