Great work Penny Jenkins. The task is endless, but the victories well worth the efforts. How bad would things be with out you and all your groups efforts. The community appreciates you going to the front lines of this community problem each and every day. Families have a right to be drug and alcohol free. If we can't save the drinker and the drugger, at least we can save the children and the next generations.

Highlighting this non-profit, days before an important election that they have been attempting to influence, is unfair. Whatever good CADA has accomplished in the past is overshadowed by the misinformation they have spread regarding local medical marijuana dispensaries. Their prohibitionist, drug war zealotry does real harm to many citizens who use marijuana responsibly, and must continue to face the prospect of arrest and the effects of having such an offense follow them on their criminal record. People should be allowed access to their medicine, and local dispensaries fill this need.

Without CADA our kids wouldn't have any institutional protection from substance abuse and prevention. The ACLA, the unions and the government are not protecting them, rather, they are enabling drug abuse and dependent behaviors. A community that protects its children, literally our future, is a healthy community. Thank you to all of the people of CADA! Don't ever quit!

Good point: a community's health is measured by the health of its children. Santa Barbara has the highest pot usage in the state, many of its children are morbidly obese, fearful of attending schools due to gang bullying, and ostracized by their low-preforming peers if they show any degree of academic success. But hey, they have cool teachers who show up in bathing suits and ballerina skirts.
