What a great looking kitty. Make this a super-special weekend for Carrot & your family and know you're doing what's right. Having lived with a veterinarian father & my mom until I was 18, I know what you're going through. It hurts badly and is not easy. Savor all the special times Carrot has provided you & everybody else. Good luck & hang in there.

Very heartbreaking news. It is so sad to have to part with our beloved pets. Sounds like Carrot had a wonderful 18 years of life with you. You are doing the right thing for Carrot even though it is such a tough decision. My heart goes out to you and your family. I say lots of tuna and snuggling for Carrot this weekend!

Great cat! Sad, though. 2 years ago our vet made a house call to put our kitty out of her pain. We held Faithy as she moved on to her next life, consoling ourselves that she had gone to a better place. Our tiny house felt so empty afterwards. Now we have two more cats, and life seems normal again. Hang in there, you are doing the right thing.

So sorry about your beautiful kitty, but how nice that he had 18 great years with you. It is so very difficult to lose them regardless of how long we've known them....it's never long enough. Take care.

My heart goes out to your beautiful Carrot, and to your family. I happen to share the life of my dearest friend, a feline of 18, and fading a bit. I love her like each day is her last on this planet. I anticipate deep lonliness when she goes to Heaven.

Bless your brave and kind hearts, you humans who love Miss Carrot. She's fortunate to have your thoughtfulness at this time in her life. Reminds me of my brave little boy kat who perished just 5 years ago at the surly age of 18. Would that I had been strong enough to know when to let go.
