Great photos.. I love Yosemite but am scared to go in the summer time because of crowds. Was it awfully busy? Great bear shots!

I have never seen Yosemite and would love to go. I have a difficult time getting around...I can take short hikes but nothing too strenuous. Anyone know where the best place to stay would be?

I was mule camping in the High Sequoias last week and saw a black bear AND lots of that amazing fungus "snowplant" so thanks for sending in photos of MY summer vacation!

Great pictures! Yosemite is one of the most spiritual places on earth. When it's too crowded, as in summer, it's hard to pick up that "vibe.' It looks like you were able to capture the magic. Thank you for sharing. P.S. Amazing plant!

I love Yosemite! When my family goes and we've been going there since the mid-70s, we stay at the Redwoods in Wawona. The cabins are wonderful, fully equipped and in a lovely setting. You can hike all over Wawona or do day trips around the valley. Here's a link

Thanks for all the comments! We too stayed at the Redwoods! Absolutely gorgeous. It was busy, beginning of summer and all but not so busy that you couldn't enjoy yourself or the surroundings. Awesome trip!

Your photos are very nice. Thanks for sharing! Anyone know what time of year is not crowded, but still green/blooming/gorgeous in Yosemite? We keep talking about heading up, but dread the thought of crowds.
