I grew up in the El Encanto neighborhood. Nice memory. Beautiful artwork.

Dan, you are truly a man of many talents! Can't wait to watch the painting take shape via Edhat--Pennsylvania is just too far away for me to make it there in person or I'd be there taking photos myself!

I used to catch pollywogs in that pond - found out the hard way that is is deeper in the middle.

I saw some friends, Peggy & Rob married at this pond. It was a beautiful, tranquil spot and I am looking forward to seeing your Madonnari chalk painting. And thanks again for all of the beautiful photos you share.

I have been a regular at Santa Barbara's El Encanto Hotel since 1979 and it is, hands down, my favorite place in the city. The last time I was there, I found myself standing next to Julia Child who commented, "This is the best restaurant in all of Santa Barbara." Not a bad recommendation! From the lobby to the rooms to the lily pond, it's all splendor and tranquility. I can't wait for the place to re-open.
