Great program. And for all of those not so great oranges, juicing them is a great idea. Some have peelings that just seem to refuse to come off, and are super sour, but juicing or cutting up and blending with other fruit is a great idea. Great program.

I have volunteered for this program several times in the last year and absolutely love it. The best was the massive tangerine harvest at an orchard in Goleta

Jim will go anywhere in the county to harvest, you just have to work it out with him. Also, some readers might have caught an error in math regarding the statistics of people the Foodbank serves. Here's the breakdown: 0 - 17 years of age = 44% 18 - 59 years of age = 46% 60+ years of age = 10%
