Nice reading a bit of history about it. I wasn't aware of that. My wife taught 4th grade in the "auditorium" in the 1962-63 school year. Guess we need to drive by when we're in Santa Barbara next.

I went to school there when it was Montessori in the 80's and early 90's. Oh the memories.

The alma mater for me and all my siblings, and now my 2 kids and their 2 cousins go there. Great school. We love it and the staff. By the way they're having a walk-a-thon today to help pay the wages for some of the teachers of extra curricular activities that were free when I was a kid: music, art, PE, and computers (OK, no computers when I was young). Interesting. When I was a kid we did jog-a-thons. Now it's walk-a-thons. Next will it be couch-potato-a-thons? ;-)
