So many forces of nature come together to produce a spectacle of wind, wave and water. Why allude to malevolence by calling it "The Angry Ocean"? Who is it trying to harm? A far better connotation, with a more profound perspective would be, " The Majestic Ocean". You were correct in calling them marginal photos though.

This past week, mother nature's been a downright bitch. But hey, we all have our days...nice photos, Dave. And don't you love these guys that like to criticize everybody's posts? Do something constructive fellas, go jump in the "Majestic Ocean". We'll post the pictures on Edhat!

Some years ago, when walking near the old Santa Barbara mission after a storm, I met a nun, also out for a walk. We smiled and greeted each other. Then she said "Mother nature has been cleaning house". Love that concept! And it was interesting that a nun would refer to "mother nature". I often think of that comment.

How anybody could criticize the author's choice of words is beyond me. The descriptions are accurate, and the photos are wonderful. Thanks, David, for sharing these photos along with your thoughts.

54362's last line exemplifies everything bad about Edhat... or humanity, for that matter. But I forget the first rule of trolling: Drop insults in the hope of upsetting people and getting them to react in writing, which you can read in glee and smug self-satisfaction. In any case, I LOVE photo #1. Thanks!

ALLEGRO805, I agree. That last line of 54362 was unnecessary, but I could not find a way to edit my post once made. I do regret that I wrote it as it detracted from what my point.

Great photos Dave. Seems like the entire california coast just experienced a 'coastal clean-up' day (or week) ala 'mother ocean'....the color captures the mood.
