407: what is SPAM? (I know what spam is.)

OP. I didn't use HDR filters or software. What do you mean by "ghosting." Why do you call this spam? Please explain. Looking forward to learning more from you. Thanks. Ron Harris

The birds are funky looking, but this pic is really gorgeous.

A vulture decided to take a commercial airline back home. Instead of putting up with airline food, it took two dead rats with it. At the airport, they told him, "we're sorry, only one carrion per passenger."

Lovely picture.

As for the all-knowing critic, would love to read the "evidence".

Thanks Ron. It's always a pleasure to see what post here.

I suppose the SPAM comment concerns itself with a professional photographer posting his work allegedly to promote his photography rather than just share it for our enjoyment. However, without any promoting, soliciting or even links to a business website it's a pretty weak and hollow argument.

There are only vultures in north america, no buzzards.

8407, I'm curious if you even know what you're referring to. You seem to confuse hdr methods with simple color correction (white/black point setting) and midtone contrast adjustments. Seriously, you're comparing apples and snowballs.

Zoos have non-indigenous animals and birds.

378546 Yep, and LOL. Still interested in the ghosted snowballs.

Beautiful. Looks like a charcoal drawing. Love the lighting.

Just think, out in the wild this bird would soar for hours, feeling the wind and serving a purpose as a scavenger. S/he would mate and live free and happy. Yet, there s/he is . . .stuck for life. Poor thing. Poor, poor bird.

A happy buzzard is a well fed buzzard.

707P This bird is spending the remainder of its life at the Zoo because there is something physically wrong with it. It was rescued, rehabilitated, but would no longer be able to survive in its natural habitat so now it spends its days at the Zoo for us to study and for us to enjoy. Sad but true.

Wik. and other sources say that "buzzard" is an accepted North American name for vultures.
