Conflict #1, Union employees negotiating benefits with union representatives. Until this issue is fixed, we will continue to have the budget problems we just squeaked out of temporarily.

They should do that at the university. Tired of people advancing their friends. While they're at it, they need to provide some management training to faculty and some of the staff who have been in positions long term, but don't know what they're doing or abuse their authority. Also, more training for managers on how to deal with harassment in the office. It's crazy lame.

Too bad a handful of architects and a plumber sullied the city's reputation. The lack of ethics is shameful. The seven paragraph manifesto is further evidence of the waywardness of the city administrators office. Why would I take on a project where I have to sully my reputation every time I represent a project before a City commission. Blatant anti business, anti sole proprietor and truly discriminatory. (maybe violates FPPC guidelines, better check before the egg gets on your face) How is it that these boards and commissions have functioned ethically and fairly for decades? It's not the system that is broken, but the particular group of volunteers who broke their agreements to be impartial and ethical. Punish them not the rest of us. S'Auntie Barbara
