Someday we'll advance to the point where if an individual no longer wants to live, he or she will entering a caring, benevolent end-of-life process, under hospice-like supervision, so that the life can be ended with dignity and the indiviudal won't have to throw themselves in front of a train or jump off a bridge or whatever crude, inhuman method they desperately choose. Death with dignity, not on the railroad tracks.

354: that day cannot come fast enough. There's an apparent need that's waiting to be fulfilled for death in a humane way. Let us turn away from talk of train track fencing to putting our signatures on a public initiative to make ending one's life with dignity possible. Who would be against such a thing?
