Unbelievable! People like her are terrorists, because their irresponsibility could kill any one of us at any time. Thank heavens that no other cars were hit. Drunk, unlicensed, uninsured leads to terrible things.

Some folks believe they drive better when under the influence of a cocktail mix of narcotics and alcohol. Believe it with all their heart... until something like this happens. I suspect she will be dealing with pain to her arm for the rest of her life, if they were able to save it.

There are accidents all the time on that stretch of highway. Lost very young lives in that location.

I was at the scene for that mess...watched the truck go over the side...literally going airborne and flying over the side....miracle that she didn't hit anyone on the way over. I hope she gets the maximum sentence available and has to pay full restitution for the ambulance, law enforcement and the recovery company that had to extract her trashed vehicle from the beach. Her actions are beyond vile and show total disregard for her life or the lives of others.

I suspect they were in some sort of lover's quarrel at the time of the accident. Selfish, immature and completely unacceptable.

People make mistakes. Hopefully this awful experience will help them realize the errors of their ways.

358p, and you get that from what evidence exactly? Please, this is tragic enough. Let's leave personal speculation out of it.

And folks, just in case you're not keeping track of the fees associated with a DUI conviction....it's about 10K now...fees quietly go up every year.

Wow. They must have been having so much fun. 100mph in the rain? Alcohot and meth? I agree with 244p and 296. My first thought was "glad they didn't kill or maim someone else. Idiots.

Probably just coming home from the casino. It is just one of those benefits that come with that hub of criminal activity that some folks incredibly claim is a great benefit to the community. Well, it does create jobs, just ask the police, Sheriff, CHP, ambulance, courts, jails, fire agencies, doctors, hospitals and social services that see the many who have lost everything there and now need food stamps.

Well, here's proof that the Nissan Frontier is a safe vehicle. When I had mine I only attempted 100 once and only for a few seconds on dry pavement. It scared some sense into me.
