Truly this play "The Liar" is a fabulous piece. The script is beyond witty and clever, and very entertaining. The acting is superb. We were there on Saturday and the entire audience was laughing and totally having a great time. It is amazing to watch "real" actors do their work - what a very complex set of skills. We just loved this production of a very wonderful play. If you love language, intelligent farce, and great acting, you should not miss this one.

Ditto. A great fun piece of business.

This is a wonderful, delightful play - laugh out loud fun!

Performances were sold out so it has been extended through March 3rd.

I saw it and - maybe it was an off night - but the actors ( some of them) were NOT all good. ETC receives a lot of criticism for not hiring local professional actors very often. I was embarrassed to find that the " local talent" was the most guilty of either not understanding the subtlety of the script, or of coarse over-acting that was not in keeping with the deliberately coarse job performed by the others in the cast. This is a great play - Ives has done well with this one - but deliberately hammy over-acting is a skill, an art - ain't as easy as it sounds.
