1269... I totally agree. At high speeds a HD starts shedding pieces and parts.

I'm sure the Harley dealer in Santa Maria could give the cops a few ideas of who to look at.

Well a Harley sped past me on the wb 126 at Victoria. A cop decided to pull me over instead, when I was just trying to get outta his way.

Re: your comment about the motorcycle having a license plate: Have you ever tried to read a motorcycle license plate? The characters are so small you can't see them unless you're literally right on top of them. In Europe, Asia and most other countries, license plates are large enough that you can actually see them. I have no idea why they're so small in North America--especially considering that due to the behaviour of a select few bikers, it would be nice if easy identification could be made. And yes, I ride a motorcycle myself.

@583. They purported that he made a threatening move, ...after crashing.

so they never found a gun or motive? from what i understand he was just trying to avoid a speeding ticket. glad that was well publicized. they won't be able to cover up the three innocent citizens shot by LAPD officers today quite as easily. thanks for the info YPYETR!
