Roger, the children have been walking through the field to El Camino School for years. They are not escorted. They live in the apartments off Turnpike and it's a much shorter route than they otherwise would have.

Second what LIZTISH340 said, kids have always walked through there and I explored there many times in high school and beyond! Never felt unsafe there, even recently, there are always homeless people and some whole camps set up, but they really keep to themselves and I've never felt bothered by anyone livnig there. Kind of like how the homeless of State St. used to be, peaceful live-and-let-live mentality!

Roger, sounds like u got what's going around like wild fire. Mucus, coughing, and the sweats. I've been waking up drenched at night for the past three days. I'm going on a week now with this crap so it's hanging around longer than usual.

Lots of rest and fluid Roger and stock up the ipubrofen! The flu is going around, just getting over being sick for over a week myself and know lots of others with those same symptoms. Not fun but it will go away, eventually!

For a while we had an obnoxious RV person, that would pull the RV up onto the curb and sometimes run right over our water meters. By him doing this, my tap water would be brown with silt for a couple days. I asked him nicely to NOT do that and he started arguing with me, so I called the cops and they gave him a nice ticket for parking on the curb. They wanted to give him other tickets but I talked them outta that. Needless to say, that RV found another place to park.

Plus, that obnoxious RV guy, would park too close to our driveway, making it totally impossible to see oncoming traffic when pulling out. On San Andres between Victoria & Micheltorena. I found out from the City that it's very easy to get signs posted "No RV Parking", which would have been my next step, if he hadn't left the area.

Hay Roger, be careful with that bug going around, my son got it a week ago and we gave him aspirin and alot of gatorade and his temp. still went up to 105. His wife got him to the hospital and they gave him something that brought it down quick to 100 . Yeah Roger I said his wife, he got married this weekend , cool huh...

And here I was thankin about getting an RV...Damn! I'm fightin that cold but I woke up at 3am and Pooh Bear was wiping his SNOT all over my arm.. I stepped on one of his tootsie rolls on the way to the can..The little booger. I've been hearing alot of diffculty breathing calls heard one this morning right next store one of my favorite neighbors but they think he might have had a mild heart attack. The firemen had him walk out to the ambulance, not cool....Sounds like people are really fed up with the RV's they got one in a motel parking lot on upper State street this morning.. As far as kids walking through granny field all it takes is one wacko to change everything with those kids..I'd rather be safe than sorry..Thats why I'm asking about escorts..I think the last time there was a child homicide here was 1981, alls it takes is one wacko and there are a few sleeping out there feel free to check out meganslawca.gov and see if you reconize anyone residents included..Safe than sorry.

Jelly bean up nose. Ahhh.... sweet memories of youth. Antidote = give victim glass of milk, then tell funny "knock-knock" joke. Laughter forces milk out nose, flushing out jelly bean. Problem solved.

That is Roger's brand. He has a following. That following is a benefit for the site. To eliminate that following would be a step backwards. Now, as far as appealing to those that don't like his posts, why not write the site operators and ask to become a daily blogger.You could get your name on the navigation bar to the left. If you posted your pic along with your posts, we'd either honk and wave when we see you on the streets or honk and give you the finger. Roger provides a wonderful service and he does it with humor. I appreciate that.
