Mothers - often the greatest source of great comfort. No one can be as protective as a Mom. I'm an older male who just in recent years has realized the awesome powers and influences of Moms.

Thanks for the uplift, precious photos. No chickens now but I've had lots of mother hens, nothing cuter than how they treat the chicks, and the babies peeking out from under mama.

339: The father is a black rooster and there actually are two black chicks in this family of 9 chicks! Like the image of the "milkman's kid," however. :)
