Great pic unless the tree or branch she is sitting on breaks and she ends up at the bottom of the cliff. NOT SAFE. So tired of hearing about people falling off the cliffs... hope that the city goes and removes that because it is very tempting, obviously, and dangerous!

155.... Sands is not a City beach. And second of all if you don't like listening to people getting hurt you ought to curb your own behaviour instead of telling others what they should do to make your distaste for bad news more tolerable. Seriously, stop listening to bad news if you are tired of it. Hovering over everyone does not minimize risks. It interferes with their ability to make choices for themselves. End of lecture.... my apologies if it came across as a snark, that was not the intent.

Isn't it wonderful that she is attending school in a place so close to such natural beauty that a study break can be truly restorative? All who live here are blessed with the opportunity for these moments. The trick is recognizing when to step away and take the opportunity. I think some Edhatters could benefit from a breath of fresh air. It can do wonders for a case of the snarkies.

Wow, 155P, you've been in southern California too long. It's a beautiful photo moment, wish it was a bigger photo!

Anyone who gets this close to a cliff edge around any beach here, just after a rain, even a slight rain, needs only one exam: to have his/her head examined.

OMG - That student is not wearing knee pads, elbow pads, a cup, chest protector or helmet. Walking out to the bluff top she could have been hit by a bicycle, parts falling from an airplane, tripped on the sidewalk, stumbled over a tree root, struck by a car, assaulted by gangs, molested by strangers, kidnapped by terrorists or approached by Jehovah's Witnesses. What on earth was she thinking!!
